CPI Cylinder is a USA Made Heavy Duty Cylinder Casting. It is designed specifically for larger cylinder bores and stroker crankshafts in mind. Cylinder is braced around the cylinder skirts and inside the water jacket to prevent cylinder wall cracks. Thicker Cylinder Walls for improved reliability. Cylinders feature larger water jackets than the stock cylinder to keep the cylinder cool. Cylinder is a cast cylinder with nikasil plating, no sleeves to cause issues.
This kit is for a good duner or drag race combination. This kit will work with all Stock Stroke Applications, and several stroker crankshaft options. We recommend using a Carrillo Rod Crankshaft with this top end kit. Head Porting, Camshafts, Intake and Exhaust Modifications, etc. are not required, but are highly recommended to get them most out of the engine combination. ARP Head Studs are recommended with this kit to insure proper head gasket seal (Cylinders do need to be drilled for 12mm ARP Studs. Please let us know if you are going to be using ARP Studs, and we can quote you lead time and price to drill cylinders for larger studs).
This kit is a bolt in kit with no machine work required for installation.
13:1 Piston is best option if using 110+ Octane Race Fuel. 12:1 JE Piston will work with 91+ Octane Pump Gas.
