04-05 Honda TRX450R ARP Head Stud Kit
This kit fits 04-05 Honda TRX450R.
Includes: 4 ARP 8740 Head Studs, 4 ARP 12mm 12-Point Nuts, 4 ARP 12mm Washers, .5 oz Packet of ARP Fastener Assembly Ultra Torque Lube, and Installation Instructions.
Increase Torque to 50 lb*ft.
These Head Studs allow for higher torque on head nuts, allowing for better head gasket clamping force, which will keep the head gasket sealed, even in high compression, large cc, high HP applications. These kits also are a must for any boosted or nitrous applications.
These Head Studs are a 12mm stud, and do not reduce down to 10mm like the OEM Studs do. OEM Cylinder Head does require drilling stud holes to clear the Head Studs. OEM cylinders do clear these studs without modification, but some after market cylinders do require drilling for stud clearance. This kit does retain the use of OEM Dowel Pins.
JSD Machine Works does offer head and cylinder clearance service if needed. Installation Instructions do include details on performing these modifications if the customer wishes to complete the job themselves.
These are stock length studs.
