Kibblewhite shim in tappet systems locate the adjustment shim in the hardened steel of the tappet body, where it is impervious to wearing (ovalling) and kicking the shim out. By designing the tappet and retainer together as a system, the shim couterbore depth in the tappet has been maximized. This allows for increased insurance against losing the shim even in the event of valvetrain separation during severe operating conditions, over-revs, or extreme boost pressures.
Kibblewhite Valve Spring Kits use a dual spring setup and include titanium or HT Steel retainers and HT Steel Spring Bases. Valve Springs good to .445" Valve Lift. Higher than Stock lift Camshafts may require use of shortened valve guides to allow clearance for high lift camshafts.
These Valve Springs are designed for High Performance Engines with Performance Cams, Also designed for engines that are boosted (turbocharger, supercharger).
H.T. Steel Retainers also available.
Higher than Stock Lift may require Kibblewhite Shortened Valve Guides for proper Retainer to Seal Clearance.
