A unique tuned resonator has been developed for the link pipe to work with the new engine to supply a unique sound experience, producing a deep, rich, and sporty sound with no unwanted drone or streaming, perfectly aligned with a pure straight six-cylinder engine. Power is increased by 8.7 kW (11.8 hp) at 5,600 rpm and torque rises by 17.1 Nm at 4,100 rpm when tested on The Akrapovic dyno with a Slip-On Line with Link Pipe Set against a standard stock exhaust on the BMW M440i.
