Stage 3: single-cam motor. Significantly more top-end power than Stage 2. Will work well for Supermoto and big bore/strokers. Uses stock auto-decompression mechanism.
A Good Camshaft for a top end (Upper RPM Range) Power Band, or in a Big Bore Application where you desire a good overall power band. Hot Cams Stage 3 or 04-05 Honda HRC Camshaft are our favorite Camshafts to use in Mild 470cc / 480cc Big Bore Duner Engine where a good overall powerband is desired.
We highly recommend using an Aftermarket Valve Spring Kit (Kibblewhite Spring Kit is what we recommend for this Camshaft) when using any performance camshaft in the Honda TRX450R / CRF450R Engine. Good Camshaft Option for a good all around power curve on a mildly built big bore (470-480cc) engine with a Exhaust, Intake, and High Compression Big Bore Piston, or in a mildly build 450cc (Porting, High Compression, Exhaust, Intake, etc.) engine that is used mostly in the Upper RPM Range. Ported Cylinder Head is a highly recommended engine modification when using this Camshaft, but is not required. No Engine Modifications is required to run this camshaft, but Performance Valve Spring Kits are highly recommended).
