12.5:1 Piston will work well with 91+ Octane Pump Gas. Pistons are a 2-Ring Piston Design for lightweight racing applications (Same as Stock 02-08 CRF450R Piston). Pistons have large valve pocket diameters to clear +2mm Valves. If using high performance camshafts, Piston to Valve Clearance must still be checked to insure deep enough valve pockets.
*Advertised Piston Compression Ratios provided are for CRF450R / CRF450X Applications. The TRX450R uses a thicker head gasket (0.027" vs 0.018" Gasket Thickness used on CRF Models). This may result is lower than advertised compression ratio when used in the TRX450R application due to increased deck height (piston to head clearance). It is recommended to check deck height (piston to head clearance) and adjust by using different thickness head / base gasket or decking cylinder surface (we recommend 0.040" Deck Height Clearance).
