This Manual Cam Chain Tensioner from APE Race Parts is a replacement for the OEM Tensioner. This Modification is recommended as the OEM Tensioner is known to fail. The OEM Tensioner is a hydraulic tensioner and if it loses oil pressure, it loses tension and can cause the cam chain to jump timing and can cause sever damage to the engine.
